Her legacy

	4-12-06 Why Amanda Died.... An autopsy was performed to determine what the cause of death was. They found that Amanda died from pneumonia. She had 90% in her right lung & 60% in her left. Upon investigation they found that Amanda's immune system was not properly developed. Her system could not fight off normal colds like normal people. Being that she just had gotten off of antibiotics she should NOT have been to that point. She also should have been very sick but showed no signs or symptoms of having had pneumonia. If she would have lived through this episode she could have died if she got sick again. If the doctors would have discovered that her immune system didn't work properly, she would not have been able to live a very normal life. Colds could have been deadly to her. She would have to live her life very sheltered. They determined that Amanda's passing was very peaceful & painfree. She drifted to sleep & passed just as peaceful. UPDATE: We have found that Amanda's sister, Meagan, has something called FOD (fatty acid oxidation disorder.) This disorder may cause lowered immune systems & it is believed that Amanda may have had an undiagnosed FOD. This would have caused her immune system to not work properly & thus her sickness to increase to pneumonia. I have often asked why she had to die. This is a question without an answer. This world is filled with sin & when we are born we enter into that sin. It is because of sin that there is disease, sickness, death, etc. Someday maybe I will understand but right now it is not the time. Proverbs 3:5 says "trust in the Lord with all your heart & lean not on your own understanding." So even though we don't understand we should trust God & know that our precious children are with Him in Heaven with complete joy & happiness!

	Thank-you Lord for your comfort!!! Precious & most Awesome Lord, Thank-you so much for all the times you have held me close to you. I thank-you for all your comfort & peace that you have given me. And even though at times I felt like you were not around, you were actually right by my side! Without You I would have not been able to get through such a difficult time! You are mighty & awesome & you have never left me or forsaken me!!! For this I am truly thankful & will follow you all the days of my life! The Lord will comfort you, too. Just lean on Him & spend time in prayer with him & get to know Him by reading His Word (the Bible)!!! Some promises of comfort from our God!!! Hope you find some peace & comfort in reading these verses... Matt 5:4~Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted 2 Cor 1:3-4~Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. Psalms 23:4~Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalms 145:18-19~The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. Psalm 34:18~The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 46:1~God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 119:28~My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. Isaiah 41:13~For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

	Thank-you Lord for your love, comfort & peace. I want to give a HUGE thank-you to our Lord... if it weren't for Him I would have not made it through this difficult time..... 	Footprints in the Sand One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.H He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

	Another remembrance song... Held by Natalie Grant This was written for her friend who had 2 loved ones die within 24 hours apart from each other....You can listen to it by clicking on it on the right hand side under audio & video or go to the audio/video section & click on it there. Two months is too little. They let him go. They had no sudden healing. To think that providence would Take a child from his mother while she prays Is appalling. Who told us we'd be rescued?
